Julep Kirti and Kathy - Wanderlust nail art

Hey Polish People!

So I had what I thought was a brilliant idea of using Julep Kirti and Kathy together……..meh. This is an ok mani but not my fav. The polish colors are ok, I really love Kathy but I dunno.

Pics!

Kirti is a very glowy juicy tangerine, it has a lot of shimmer in it. It applied nicely although thick and I had to do 3 coats to get rid of visible nail line.

For the accent nail I used 2 coats of Julep Kennedy with 2 coats of Julep Kathy. Kennedy is a perfect beige cream, been using this one often as a base. Kathy is a glorious pearly gold topper. You could wear it on its own but would take many coats to be perfectly opaque. It applied nice and even, I am really looking forward to using this one again! Would look great with sooooo many colors. The gold jewel studs I got from ebay.

Just another look at the whole thing :)

Sally Hansen New York Fashion Week polish Vintage Confetti

Hey Internet!

The other day I was doing my perusing of polish on the web and saw that Sally Hansen was releasing limited edition New York Fashion Week colors, and Vintage Confetti caught my eye. I have nothing like it, it's a glitter top coat with gold jagged glitter, pink and black hex glitter and small red bar glitter. I thought it would be perfect for Fall.

Here's what I came up with!

I decided to use Julep Natalia, a shimmery metallic pink copper. WOW! I almost did not buy this one, but got it for less than $5 I think and boy do I love her! So rich and glowy, I already planned out how I will use it again :) On the thumb I used Julep Jules a pink creme. This is the 2nd time I used it, it's a pretty color but a crap formula it's too bad. I then used a nail vinyl to make a a a shape with Kennedy and added a 2mm black square stud.

A macro shot of Vintage Confetti. Love this!

Here's a close up of Vintage Confetti over Kennedy, I think they look pretty good together.

And everything I used for this mani. From left to right Julep Natalia, Jules, Kennedy, Sally Hansen Vintage Confetti, Glisten and Glow HK Girl top coat, Bliss Kiss Simply Smooth base coat.

Thanks for looking!

Beach mani - Julep India, Kai, Kennedy, Adele

Hey internet Friends!

I realized Summer is coming to a close, even though it's crazy hot today I'm typing this up on Labor Day, so I wanted to squeeze a beach themed mani in. I originally had BIG plans for some stamping over a couple nails but once I got the base colors down I didn't want to cover up their loveliness so I said screw you stamps! Onto the pics.

Julep India thumb to middle, Julep Kai on ring, and Julep Kennedy topped with Adele on pinky. I have loved this mani since the minute I put it on! I think it came out lovely hehehe

India was an ok formula a little thick and stunk something awful! It smells like a sweet skunks butt lol the color though is gorgeous and sooooo blue. So. Blue. It has some super fine shimmer that looks green in some light. Even with the stink which isn't that awful it doesn't linger, I love this color. 2 coats here.

Kai is one of Julep's sea salt finish colors. It doesn't have any shimmer or glitter so I guess a creme sea salt finish? I have all of their sea salt colors and they normally dry lightning fast but this one took a while, I don't think it was 100% dry in my photos ooops because the next morning I noticed it had much more texture to it when it was fully dry. I used 2 coats.

Kennedy is a pretty light creamy neutral, very nice formula, 2 coats shown here. I topped it with 1 coat of Adele a gold shimmery topper that flashes green/aqua. These 2 go excellent together. I used a light blue 2 mm square stud that I got from eBay.

I used Glisten & Glow HK Girl top coat except over Kai.

This turned out to be one of my fav manis in a while, what do you think? Did I do a good beach theme? :)

(Whoah just noticed the random floating curved watermark over the last 2 bottle photos haha! I can't fix it right now so that has to wait until tomorrow lol)
