Something Blue wedding mani featuring James Allen Ring nail charms

This post contains affiliate links and Press Samples

Hey Everyone!

Today I have my next mani featuring the James Allen Rings nail charms that I received as part of the Preen.Me Preen Me VIP program! Since I’m a weirdo along with my manis I wrote a little fanfiction story of me and a-hem, Damon Salvatore from Vampire Diaries. What? I couldn’t resist! Want to read the first 2 chapters of my story and see the first mani? Check it out Rose Water Decals Wedding Mani Featuring James Allen Rings Nail Charms. Ok let’s get on with the pics.

For the “wedding mani” of my 3 part series, I wanted to go non-traditional because well, I’m a non-traditional kind of girl hehehe. I went with a nude and “something blue” look and actually that’s the name of the blue polish! It’s ‘Something Blue’ from Julep.

For the base I used Julep ‘Pippa,’ a pink beige neutral. OMG I forgot how much I love this color, so creamy and perfect. I used 2 coats but it’s pretty decent with 1 coat.

Then I stamped using plate Y003 from Born Pretty Store. On the pinky I stamped with ‘Pippa’ over ‘Something Blue’ and I think it did pretty well considering it’s not a stamping polish! Once dry I used French tip vinyls from Vinyl It Up to mask off the bottom of the nails and added more ‘Something Blue.’

The ring finger seemed like it was going to be pretty busy since I was using both charms like a wedding ring set, so I decided to skip the stamping on that nail. I’m glad I did because those charms are definitely a strong look haha! If you decide to skip reading the story below thanks for stopping by!

And now for the next chapter of my Wedding Story!

Chapter 1.
Chapter 2.

Chapter 3

“So how do you feel?” Alaric asked me. My mind raced… scared, nervous, excited, hot, freezing, sick… My face must have portrayed the myriad of emotions tumbling inside of me. He held back a smirk “That good huh? Well, that’s exactly how you should feel. Never trust a person who isn’t nervous on their wedding day.” I managed to squeak out a sentence, “How do you think Damon feels?” Alaric closed his eyes and laughed “Honestly, worse! He put a significant dent in a very expensive bottle of scotch.” “Great, I’m marrying a scared drunk vampire.” He stopped laughing “Come on you know how many bottles of scotch he could drink.” I laughed because yes I did. The chord of the music changed outside, signaling our entrance. Alaric held his arm out to me and I grasped it for dear life. “Easy tiger, I am fragile. You ready?” Wow, what a question. Was I ready for this? Was I ready to marry Damon Salvatore? I’m not even marrying a human! One look at that man and you’d know he wasn’t human, his blue black hair framed the most perfect chiseled face the held the most supernatural blue eyes you would ever be lucky enough to see. Those eyes have been known to make panties practically disintegrate. Inappropriate thought!! I yelled at myself. I looked at Alaric and said “Maybe?” Alaric shook his head “Well that will have to do,” and he led me out the door.

We were on a stone walkway shielded by hedges, we turned the corner and the first thing I saw were boughs of white garland flowers hanging overhead. The sun had begun to set and the hundreds of candles set in the stone alcoves on the sides of the seating began to shimmer and sparkle. I could see people standing but my racing eyes couldn’t focus on a single face. Ahead I saw the stone grotto with spires and arches with mini dangerous looking staircases that seemed to lead to everywhere but nowhere. And then I saw him. He was under the arch of the center grotto alcove in his black suit looking like the supermodel he surely could be. Our eyes locked and everything but him blurred around him, across his face dawned hunger, appreciation, and then finally love. I could see his love for me bursting from him as he gently smiled and beckoned to me with his entire being. Suddenly any fear and nerves I felt faded away and seemed silly. How could I have ever doubted this choice? This was the greatest decision I had ever made, and now with 100% certainty I picked up my pace and caught Alaric off-guard. He recovered as we made our way down the aisle, and then we were there. Alaric took my hand and placed it in the coolness of Damon’s, he said something but I had no idea what. Most of the ceremony didn’t register with me, I just looked into his eyes and saw my future, my perfect choice. I must have mumbled through and finished my vows because he began to speak to me.

“Angel, I’ve been trying to put into words what I have been feeling since we met and in very unlike me fashion I have failed.” The crowd laughed, of course they would. “There are simply no words that could convey what you are to me and how my very existence now has worth with you in my life. You are my life and because of you I am free.” He looked at me as if he was about to dive inside of my soul. “I am free to be what I have always wanted to be but never could. You have awoken something good and pure within that I thought could never exist again. You have turned me back into a man.” He had slowly stepped closer as he looked down at me, holding my hand while the other went to my cheek. “And now I am just a man marrying a woman, what could be more beautiful? I will love you for always, forever, until the end of our time.” He slipped the ring on my finger and being Damon he decided to recite the next part himself. “Angel, do you take this man to be your husband for all of eternity?” I felt as if time and space had ceased to exist, that we were floating alone. My thoughts burned singular with the brightest of intentions, “Yes, I’ll take you forever Damon.” He leaned down as our eyes closed and we kissed as the sweetest joy and bliss I had ever experienced exploded so deep inside of my heart it hurt. His lips so hot they were cold. Could it have been a second or maybe years? My eyes opened as they missed the presence of his kiss and he smiled sweetly like a cherub. Mine, all mine.

Now that you think I’m thoroughly crazy lol How would you do your nails for your wedding day? I know a lot of people like to go with something classic and I’m all talk and probably would too! Thanks for stopping by!

  2. This is such a great nail art look! I wasn't into nails when I got married several years ago so I went with something boring and basic, but I love to see bridal looks that are much more interesting. Very well done!
