China Glaze Meet Me In The Mirage Tribal Stamping Nail Art

Hey Everyone!

Surprise surprise, another China Glaze Desert Escape collection look lol  I loved the way ‘Meet Me In The Mirage’ and ‘Rain Dance The Night Away’ looked in the mani I did last week, see it here.  So I just copied myself and put them together again!  I think it kind of looks like a copper penny when it gets tarnished, you know, like when they’ve been sitting in the cup holder of your car for too long and one too many Dairy Queen blizzards have sweat all over them…… No?  Just me?  Ok, let’s just get on with it.

This lovely rose gold is ‘Meet Me In The Mirage,’ I originally reviewed it here.  I’m still in love with it.  It’s not unique but I dunno, it just speaks to my polish soul.  Really nice and easy formula to work with, this is 2 coats.

China Glaze Don't Desert Me black lace stamping nail art

Some of these items were provided to me

Hey Everyone!

I’m just getting back into the rhythm of posting as I was on vacation last week and part of this week. I went to Atlanta to visit my best friend (my best friend Kristie was the co-author of this blog for 5 years before I switched it over to a nail blog) that was moving back home, we sadly had to make her move early and suddenly as she received terrible news that her nephew who has been ill was having more complications. 6 year old Ethan lost his battle and went to Heaven this week. I will be posting more about his story and a mani inspired by this beautiful soul most likely on Monday after I have attended his Memorial Service. Ethan smiled through all of his health issues and lived his life as if he was not sick so in his honor his family along with myself are determined to never take life for granted and live every day to its fullest potential. So, I will continue doing the things I love and that includes creating beautiful art that makes me happy because he was happy! Fly high Ethan!

China Glaze Rain Dance The Night Away - turquoise and rose gold nails

Press Sample (some of these items were sent to me for consideration)

Hi Guys & Gals!

Do I have any guy readers? I’d love that lol Today I’m getting back to my nail art swatches of the China Glaze Desert Escape Summer 2015 Collection. You can see all my sans-nail-art-swatches here China Glaze Desert Escape Collection Summer 2015 Swatch Review. I’m always drawn to bright turquoise and blue colors, I’ll wear them all year long without a thought about the season or weather! Who cares when your nails are pretty? And ‘Rain Dance The Night Away’ could be one of my favs in my collection, it’s so bright and crisp and very eye catching. When I had this collection lined up on my swatch station (aka just my desk), RDTNA was next to the rose gold shimmer ‘Meet Me At The Mirage’ and they looked kinda great together so I paired them and wowza, I love the end result. Let’s check it out!

Does this combo look like Summer or what? Do not answer what because you’ll be wrong lol I’m imagining myself wearing this combo with white linen flowy pants, a huge straw hat and some sort of coconut flavored drink…… I’m feeling very How Stella Got Her Groove Back. Taye Diggs ya’ll. Wow what a great daydream haha!

China Glaze Don't Mesa With My Heart - Pink gradient flourish stamping tutorial

Hey People!

When I'm feeling uninspired I just copy myself, so this mani is just a copy of a previous mani but I changed the colors and stamping plate.  Also when I'm feeling uninspired I don't even bother writing an intro apparently haha!  SO hey!  How is everyone?  Better late than never I guess lol  Since I can't seem to string together decent sentences let's just go to pics ;)

I'm always a fan of pink!  I thought it would be fun to pair a crème, Don't Mesa With My Heart, with a shimmer, Don't Desert Me, as a gradient and I'm pretty pleased with the results.  I think the two finishes play nicely together.

China Glaze The Heat is On floral stamping

Hey Everyone!

Yesterday I shared my swatches of the China Glaze Desert Escape Collection, and for the next week (maybe less if I get bored and start posting them faster lol) I'll be sharing nail art for each color from the collection. The first color up is The Heat is On, let's check it out!

Now, when I first swatched this color I was kinda meh on it. Don't get me wrong I love red polish but red isn't exactly the color I like for visible nail line, and The Heat is On is still a little sheer at 3 coats. BUT the longer I wore it the more I liked it and now I'm sold on the color and I think it looks fab with black stamping!

China Glaze Desert Escape Collection Summer 2015 Swatch Review

(These polishes were purchased by me)

Hey People!

New China Glaze Alert! Don’t you wish you really would get alerts for new collections? Haha Today I have swatches of the China Glaze Desert Escape 6 piece Collection for Summer 2015. I thought the Electric Nights Collection was Summer 2015? Not complaining, I’ll always take more polish lol And spoiler alert, I’m really digging these colors. I definitely get a Southwest/Arizona vibe from these colors. At first I thought, well these aren’t super desert-y but then I realized “Desert Escape” probably means like resort/vacation. Duh. And yea, these are polish colors I’d want to wear while vacationing in Arizona! Shall we look at pretty colors now? Ok, let’s do this.

Oooooo Aaaahhhh! Pretty Pretty. Now, I do admit these aren’t exactly unique colors but I don’t think that takes away from how great they look. We have some nice formulas and some that are ok. But for a couple of these I may have had a margarita or 2 while swatching soooooo it could be user error!
