China Glaze The Heat is On floral stamping

Hey Everyone!

Yesterday I shared my swatches of the China Glaze Desert Escape Collection, and for the next week (maybe less if I get bored and start posting them faster lol) I'll be sharing nail art for each color from the collection. The first color up is The Heat is On, let's check it out!

Now, when I first swatched this color I was kinda meh on it. Don't get me wrong I love red polish but red isn't exactly the color I like for visible nail line, and The Heat is On is still a little sheer at 3 coats. BUT the longer I wore it the more I liked it and now I'm sold on the color and I think it looks fab with black stamping!

For the stamping I used Bundle Monster Black Noir, which has become my fav black stamping polish! It's very opaque and images come out very crisp for me, love it. The stamp plate is Y013, I don't know the brand of these "Y" plates? I just call them Y plates lol I added some red flower jewels that I got from ebay. I don't know about you but I always love black and red nail art, I always feel so badass wearing it ha!

Anddddd just for good measure here are the swatches of the Desert Escape Collection, and you can see my review and swatches HERE!

What do you think of this color? Do you like jelly/crelly finishes and visible nail line?

  1. Gorgeous!! I'm not a fan of the VNL. I'd rather do extra coats than have the line show.

    1. Me neither but I had to stop at 3 coats haha! I like VNL for certain colors like white or sheer pink but not darker colors I like them as opaque as possible. But this color is gorgeous so I kind of forgive it haha

  2. I am so jealous of your ability to wear those little stones! They look so neat, but I can't leave them alone.

    1. Hahahaha! I remember when I first started wearing studs and jewels I wanted to just fling them off, but then I would immediately regret it so I finally stopped getting the urges lol Thank you!

    1. Thank you so much! I love wearing red but I have to be in the right mood for it, not a color I wear all the time.

  5. This looks so great with the black stamping- and I love the 3D, too! It reminds me of those snazzy tango or salsa costumes.

  6. Im so not a fan of VNL but I hardly notice it here. I am going to have to pick up that black, I have been on the hunt for one that looks this opaque for almost 2 years.

    1. The VNL was a little more noticeable in person but not that bad and it grew on me. This black is my fav for stamping, it's the closest I have found and combined with my creative shop stamper I think they do really well together! Thank you!
