Halloween Skull King mani - Sinful Colors Neon Melon Julep Tazeen and Brandt

It’s almost Halloween Everyone!

So I did MORE Halloween nails of course. A few weeks back I bought the cutest skull charm on ebay, it’s neon yellow with a little gold crown. I thought it was a really great color combo with the black eyes so I came up with a matching mani. Check out my neon skull king mani!





For the pointer and pinky I used Julep Kate a white shimmer as my base, I used 2 coats. Then I topped the white with 2 coats of Sinful Colors Neon Melon, a highlighter yellow. It is very bright but not the brightest highlighter yellow out there, I love it! I thought it was a little thicker than other versions of this color.



For the middle finger I used Julep Sienna, a great neutral shimmery gold. Then I topped with 2 coats of Julep Tazeen, a full coverage glitter. At first glance Tazeen just seems to be a gold color but after a second look you see some green to it. The hint of green looks perfect with Neon Melon, I love how they look together.





I used Julep Brandt on the ring, 2 coats. Brandt is one of my most used colors, it’s the perfect off black crème. Great for when you don’t want just straight black, it’s got character lol. I applied the skull charm to a coat of freshly applied HK Girl Topcoat. It is so cute, I love it so much!



You know how sometimes you have an idea for a mani in your head and then it doesn’t come out good? Yea, well that didn’t happen here lol This is exactly what I was hoping for! I like how this is a Halloween mani but not your typical, and Neon Melon is perfect and I can’t wait to wear it in the middle of the cold winter when I need a little brightness to bring me out of the snow. Julep Ledi and Casper Halloween Ghost Glow in the dark nail art

Hi my Little Ghouls,

Another Halloween mani! As soon as I saw Julep Ledi, a black microshimmer, I knew it would be at home in a Halloween mani. It’s so bewitching... Sometimes I really really hate myself.

Check out what I did!



Julep Ledi is a black with silver microshimmer. It’s a great color, black but with a little extra. The formula was good, this is 2 coats. If I was cool, Ledi would be a good color for a Slipknot concert.



For my accent nails I layered a glow in the dark shimmer Julep Casper (great name!) over Julep Kate. I didn’t expect Casper to be so pretty in light! It’s almost pearly shimmer with some subtle silver shimmer. I used 2 coats of Julep Kate and 2 coats of Casper layered over, awwww shit.



I freehanded my ghost and Boo! with Ledi. Ledi is pretty opaque so it worked great for layering over white. I was pretty happy with my freehand letters haha, normally I’m pretty terrible at writing words on my nails. I deserve a pat on the back.





Look at my little ghost! I love how it glows in the dark! He’s not the best looking ghost but I love him just the same. Did you know ghosts are like snowflakes? They're all unique.



This was my first glow in the dark mani and I can see why people love doing these, it’s so fun to check out your work in the dark haha!

Julep Jet and Etta striping tape Halloween-ish nail art.....

Happy Fall!

I was in the mood for something dark and subtly Halloween-ish. Black and green right? Haha! I’ve had poor Julep Etta waiting in the wings to try for a couple months already, poor thing. Etta is a shimmery peridot and just kinda glows in the bottle, in other words she’s perfect.

Onto the mani.



I used Julep Jet at my base. A great basic black crème, shown here is 2 coats.





And then there was Etta. Le sigh. I was hoping it would layer well over Jet, doing that bright glowy thing sheer colors do when worn over black, and it did! This is one coat of Etta, even though it is sheer here I think it would be pretty opaque at 2 coats.



For the stripes I used striping tape over Jet in an “X” and “V” pattern followed by one coat of Etta and quickly removed the striping tape. Somehow this reminds me of spiders, eeeekkkk!




The studs are 2mm neon light green from ebay.



I loved the way this mani came out! I think this would be a really cool pattern to try with a glow in the dark polish. Thanks for reading!

Gridlock Lacquer Haunted at Central Terminal Halloween mani!

Hey Everyone!

Last week I posted a mani using Gridlock Lacquer's new Halloween polish Haunted at Central Terminal. I used it by itself but since it’s a jelly like texture I thought it would be fun to try layering it. I think I like it better layered! It helped to bring out all of the different colors and shapes of glitter a little better.

Isn’t it cool?! As my base I used Gridlock Lacquer’s Garden Walk on the pointer and middle and Delaware Park on the ring and pinky. Garden Walk is a lovely pearly purple and Delaware Park is a peridot. I then layered 1 thin coat of Haunted at Central Terminal over.



I love all of the glitter in this polish, so much Halloween going on here.



I think I like it best over Delaware Park, the black jelly base of Haunted at Central Terminal turned the peridot base into a murky chrome green, so cool!



I think this mani is pretty spot on for a moody Halloween look, would be great for a witch costume. Thanks for looking!

Gridlock Lacquer Halloween polish - Haunted at Central Terminal

Hey my scary Friends, is it too early for some Halloween nail art? NEVER!!!

Today I have a Gridlock Lacquer Halloween polish to review, Haunted at Central Terminal. If you live in Buffalo you are probably familiar with The Central Terminal, if not click the link for some history.

When I opened the package with this polish I got so excited! It looks so witchy and perfect for Halloween. It has a black jelly base jam packed with black, orange, purple, and a touch of teal glitter. I was thinking it was going to be more of a glitter topper, but when I applied it to a swatch stick (which was immediately by the way, I need to try it ASAP lol) it was full coverage! This is no wimpy glitter, it’s fully opaque at 2 coats.

Onto pics!



Tell me this isn’t Halloween in a bottle. I especially love the square purple glitter.





Haunted at Central Terminal applied nicely and the glitter dispersed onto the nail evenly without having to mess with it. I applied with slow even strokes and that was enough to get the glitter to lay smooth.





For my accent nail I used another Gridlock Lacquer polish, Garden Walk a metallic purple. I think they look pretty great together! The stamping is MoYou London Biker plate 08.





As you can see I had a little fun taking these pics with some of my Halloween decorations lol



I have a feeling this polish will get a lot of use come October, I want to pair it with an orange next. Check out Gridlock Lacquer forgot groups polishes, Haunted at Central Terminal will be up soon, I'll update once it does!
