I'm on YouTube! My First Tutorial! The Walking Dead Zombie Inspired Nail Art

Press Sample, Affiliate Link

Hey Everyone!

After much planning and sleepless nights of editing, I finally got my very first full length YouTube tutorial up!  I wanted my first tutorial to represent me and the things I love so I went with a Walking Dead theme because it's my fav show, neons, and nail stamping.  All things I love!

I've been doing instagram tutorials for about a year and a half and for the past 6 months or so I've been debating starting an accompaning YouTube channel.  I knew it would be a lot of work and the idea of putting my "voice" out there kind of terrified me, but then the annoyance at only having 15 seconds to show what I filmed kind of trumped my fear lol  So I jumped in!  And so far it has been very rewarding... and A LOT of work!  This first tutorial probably took me about 20 hrs total to film and edit.  OH.  MY.  That included a lot of learning on the fly though, editing a full length tutorial and doing voiceover is a completely different beast.  I have since completed 2 other full length tutorials (I will post them sometime soon on my blog lol) and I've gotten faster each time.

Anyways!  Here is a still shot of my mani!

Also, I think I want to make the size of my pics smaller like the one above.  I've previously posted them very large but I dunno, it's been annoying me lately.  Let me know how you feel!  LOL

Here is what I used to complete this mani:

- China Glaze White on White - http://www.bit.ly/1QWphx7 ^
- Rica Polish White Out - http://www.bit.ly/21idyW8
- Orly Thrill Seeker - http://www.orlybeauty.com/thrill-seeker.html

- Painted Polish Midnight Mischief - http://www.paintedpolish.com/product/midnight-mischief (Currently sold out but will be back!)

- UberChic XL Non-sticky Stamper - http://www.twinkledt.com/#_l_1d *
- UberChic Zombie Love stamping plate - http://www.twinkledt.com/#_l_1d *
- Sharpies - http://www.bit.ly/1QWq18i ^
- 91% Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol - Drugstore
- UberChic Liner Brush - http://www.twinkledt.com/#_l_1d *
- Ulta Cosmetics Sponge - http://www.twinkledt.com/#_l_1d *

Neon Chevron nails featuring Orly Passion Fruit and Key Lime Twist

Press Sample (Some of these items were provided for review and photography)

Hi!

You may see a lot neons from me now that it’s actually Summer in my neck of the woods, prepare yourselves. And I can never just seem to wear a plain neon, I always have to make it crazy and loud and a little obnoxious as if it wasn’t already lol I busted out an untried today, ‘Passion Fruit’ from Orly and paired it with another Orly ‘Key Lime Twist’ because ever since I used a while back it’s been sitting at my polish desk giving me puppy eyes and begging to be used! So I did and I still loves it. Check it out!

Neon Chevron nails featuring Orly Passion Fruit and Key Lime Twist

In the bottle ‘Passion Fruit’ is a red leaning pink but looks a little more pink on the nail, could be because I used a white undie. It applied easily and smoothly but I think next time I’d do 3 thin layers as opposed to 2 thicker, it looks fine but I think it might look a little nicer with 3 thin coats. It dried to a matte rubbery finish but I topped it with a glossy top coat.

Rainbow Gradient Zebra Stamping with Color Club Poptastic Pastel Neons

(These polishes were purchased by me)

Why is it Monday already?  Arrrghhhhhh!  Oh yea, Good Morning I guess lol

I’ve been thinking of how to use the polishes from the Color Club Poptastic Pastel Neons again, see my reviews HERE and HERE.  Inspiration struck in the form of a Zebra, specifically a Rainbow Zebra.  Guess what, they do exist!

China Glaze Sun Worshipper Neon Taxi Cab Nails

Press Sample ( Love Angeline Stuck on Love Nail Shields)

Hey Everyone!

How about some crazy neon taxi cab nails? Ok, that wasn’t exactly my inspiration but that’s what these remind me of! A couple weeks ago Sally’s Beauty had extra 50% off clearance and BOGO China Glaze polishes. I was on it. I bought a bunch of polishes but I kept picking up and putting back China Glaze Sun Worshipper, it was so bright and unique it kept calling to me and then I’d put it back thinking it was just too crazy… even for me! Last minute I decided I wanted it, I mean come on, and it ended up being about a $1. Well, that was the best decision ever! I’m in love with this color, even though it’s a weird yellow orange I find it oddly flattering. This could be my Summer color, ok onto the mani!

Tweed nail art - Bundle Monster stamp plate BM-706

Hey People!

Today I have a double layer stamping mani to share, whoah I know.  I’m getting all crazy lol  Not really, I just stamped on each nail twice.  I used another Secret Garden Bundle Monster plate, BM-706 see my full review HERE!  The pattern I used from the plate is a sort of cross-hatch pattern, it reminded me of tweed lol  Check out my mani!

Isn’t this stamp pattern so cool?  The plate BM-706 stamped perfect and crisp.  The blue is Annie from Julep, and the white base is also Julep, Brigitte and it covers nicely in 2 coats.

Julep Phyllis Aurora Sadie nail tape X nail art

Hey Everyone!

Happy Friday thankkkkk goodness, uggghhh busy week for me. Any whoo, I received my Julep January Maven box a while back and still have a lot of them left to try haha. Typical. Phyllis, a soft dusty pink caught my eye. I thought it would be fun to pair it with black, check out what I came up with.

Isn't Julep Phyllis pretty?! I was excited because it had a nice formula and I've been not so happy lately with their cremes so I'm hoping they're on the up and up. This is 2 coats.

The silver is Julep Aurora, it was pretty brush strokey, not the worst I've seen lol but enough to annoy me. But it did cover nicely, this is 2 coats.

The X pattern I did with striping tape. I sadly messed it up while removing the tape lol I used Julep Sadie, a black with silver glitter texture polish. Love Sadie!

Even though I messed up the accent nail, I was still happy with this mani I thought the color combo was pretty cool. It was inspired by @melcisme on Instagram. Thanks for stopping by!

Julep - Peace Love and Sienna

Hey Everyone!

Today I have a work function to go to so I wanted something "classy" lol Although I'm sure this look doesn't qualify as classy to some but for me it's more subdued. Check it out!

The merlot creme is Julep Peace. It's a very pretty color but the formula wanted to flood my cuticles and cleanup was a little tough since reds tend to do that but I was happy with the end result so not too big a deal.

For the ring and pinky I used Julep Sienna as my base and layered Julep Love over. I love Love! Haha!

I've never doubled up square studs like this before, I think it's a pretty cool look.

Thanks for stopping by!

OPI Wharf Wharf Wharf and Julep Brandt and Dana

Hi Everyone!

I've wanted OPI Wharf Wharf Wharf since it was released but it was just one of those colors that you look at but never buy. Well, I FINALLY bought it and it is everything I thought it would be! I'm still loving texture polishes and even though they may be "over" I will still be busting em out. Check out what I came up with for this crazy blue.

Isn't it cool? It's just so blue lol I used 2 thin coats, I think textures show up best when you use thinner coats. I was obsessively touching my nails while wearing it haha.

For the base of my ring I used Julep Dana. It's a pearly white with blue shimmer.

The stamping was done with MoYou London Artist Collection Plate 04. I used Julep Brandt, an off-black.

This mani felt very "artsy" or something lol I'm so cool. Thanks for stopping by!

Nina Ultra Pro Punki Pink and Different Dimension Big Bang

Hello!

It's 2015! Happy New Year!!! I wanted to start the year with a crazy bright mani, I think I succeeded. Check it out!

This is a crazy bright neon pink, Punki Pink from Nina Ultra Pro. In my photos it's reading as orange, stupid camera! Since its a neon I had to use 3 thickish coats to get it opaque.

For the accent nail and leopard spots I used Different Dimension Big Bang, I loveeeeee this polish and use it all the time. It's my fav polish from 2014!

Thanks for checking out my work!

Gridlock Lacquer Electric Tower Ball Drop and Elmwood Village - New Years Eve mani

Hey Everyone!

It's almost New Years Eve so how about a NYE mani?

This is Electric Tower Ball Drop from Gridlock Lacquer. It's an Aubergine metallic it reminds me of crushed velvet. Love this color!

The jagged glitter is Elmwood Village also from Gridlock Lacquer. I used 2 coats here.

On the pointer and pinky I added 2 mm square studs that I got from eBay.

Hope your NYE plans are coming along!

Butter London Stroppy and OPI Kiss Me I'm Brazilian

It’s Friday!!!!!! Yipppppeeeeee!

It’s been a long week for me, my BF has been sick with the flu and one of my kitties has been sick. She keeps getting what we thought was a cold but this last time was different so we took her in for x-rays and it might be asthma L or some other sort of chronic inflammation of the respiratory system……..Poor thing. She’s getting pretty expensive lol but I love her so whatever haha

Onto polish!

I’m calling this my Jem and The Holograms mani! The bright pink crème is OPI Kiss Me I’m Brazilian, such a POP of color. Nice formula, normally I can get away with 2 coats for this one but when my nails are longer I need 3 because my nail line is very dark.

This shimmery purple is Butter London Stroppy, 2 coats for opaqueness. It has fuchsia sparklies in it! Gorgeous color, if you like purple I HIGHLY recommend this one.

For the accent nail I used striping tape to make the X pattern and added purple 2 mm nail studs that I got from ebay.

Purple and pink manis, I dig em! Thanks for being totally outrageous ;)

Lucky Lacquer - Bells of Ireland and DIFFERENT Dimension Sexy and I Snow It nail vinyl mani

Happy Friday!

So today was a good day!  I was featured as a guest artist on Nail It Mag for this mani!  They created an awesome tutorial for it - Nail Art Tutorial: Teal Chevron and Glitter.

Now that I'm recovered lol I can post some pics!

This gorgeous lime green is Bells of Ireland from
Lucky Lacquer. 2 perfect creamy coats to opaque, and it went on like a dream.

Use my code STAR for 10% off your
Lucky Lacquerorder :)

That gold, right?! This full coverage gold glitter is Sexy And I Snow It from
DIFFERENT dimension. It is so sparkly and would make an amazing holiday mani, this one will get so much use!

For the chevron design I used right angle vinyls from
Vinyl It Up, I love nail vinyls they are so easy to use but add so much to a mani!

The stud is a 2 mm neon from ebay, there's like 5 billion listings for those so I want link them.

Julep Christina and Vinyl It Up Gingerbread nail vinyls!

Happy December!

I'm not really crazy about snow but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy some fun Christmas themed manis!  Check out these crazy adorable gingerbread man nail vinyls from Vinyl It Up.

The red is Julep Christina, it's more of a sparkling persimmon.  Really pretty for Holiday manis!  A little sheer so I used 3 coats.

The white is Julep Kate, in person it has very subtle silver shimmer.

The gingerbread decals!  I couldn't help but cut the head off of one, poor Gingy!  Not my gumdrop buttons!  LOL That's my fav Shrek line.

Thanks for stopping by!
