OPI James Bond Collection Casino Royale with Julep Betty

Hi Interneters!

I picked up OPI Casino Royale from the James Bond Skyfall Collection back in the middle of the summer and I have been patiently waiting to bust it out! I LOVE vampy colors and Daniel Craig and the move Skyfall so this is a pretty awesome polish! It’s such a gorgeous cremey vampy red toned plum. I wanted to keep things simple for this mani so I just went with one lonely sparkly accent nail.

Pics now :)

Whoah baby! Look at this polish perfection that is Casino Royale. It applied beautifully and nice and opaque at 2 coats.

On the ring accent nail I layered 2 coats of Julep Betty. It has small fuchsia and cranberry colored glitter, I think it has a black jelly base but hard to tell? Anyways, I love it. Applied great no issues with this glitter. I think these 2 make a pretty great combo.

Just one more view ;)

Bundle Monster Around The World stamping plate set review

Press Sample

Hey Everybody!

Today I have a new stamping plate set from Bundle Monster to review, this is the 5 pc XL Around The World stamp plate set. This was my first time trying Bundle Monster’s newer XL plate designs and I’m pretty impressed. They came with a blue plastic backing which helps with handling and makes them sturdier and they are etched very well. All the images I have tried on plate BM-XL151 picked up and transferred well. I will be posting looks with each plate over the next couple of weeks. But the plate that spoke to me first lol was the Shanghair Summer plate, BM-XL151. I was also sent Bundle Monster’s new stamp plate scrapers in 2 thicknesses, 0.5mm Ultra Thin Nail Stamping Scraper and 1mm Thin Nail Stamping Scraper Card Set. I tried the .5mm scraper for this mani and it’s FABULOUS!! It seems like people don’t talk much about scrapers but I think they’re just as important as the stamper! They can make a crappy plate stamp so much better. The thinner and more flexible the better, and this one is perfect. I think it’s my new fav scraper!

Here’s a better description of the plate set taken from the product page.

OPI Can't Afjord Not To and Jinx stamping nail art

These polishes were purchased by me.

Hey Everyone!

I was super lazy last night but somehow SOMEHOW I dragged myself into the nail dungeon and managed to pull this mani out of thin air. And of course I loved it because I didn’t spend hours analyzing every little detail and overthinking it lol I can’t be the only one right? I’m still in love with texture polish and I’m still upset that OPI is no longer making liquid sand polishes. WHhhyyyyyy OPI whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! So, I’ve been collecting the ones I don’t own and decided to get the rest of the Bond Girls Liquid Sands. Now when I say the rest of them I meant I only had one and bought the other 5 haha! When I opened Jinx I might have drooled a little, so here she is!

OPI Infinite Shine - To The Finish Lime! Review

Press Sample

Hey Everyone!

Today I am sharing another mani using the OPI Infinite Shine polishes that I received from the Preen.Me VIP Program.  This gorgeous Spring Green is To The Finish Lime!  At first I didn't know what to do with this color, don't get me wrong I love green polish but I was feeling very uninspired.  So without a plan I laid down the base color and dug through my decal stash... and then magic happened haha, check it out!

This came out better than if I planned it lol The green is OPI Infinite Shine To The Finish Lime!  This one had a very nice formula and covered completely opaque in 2 coats.  After I added the Infinite Shine Gloss top coat and let dry, I applied these blue rose water decals.  The decals are from ebay, they are sold by about a million sellers so you could find them by searching for blue flower waer decals.  They are on a clear base so the green polish kind of shows through and blends them together, I love the effect!  I also added a 2mm blue round jewel that I got from ebay.

OPI Infinite Shine Indignantly Indigo and DS Lapis review

Press Sample

Hey Everyone!

Today I am sharing another mani using the OPI Infinite Shine polishes that I received from the Preen.Me VIP Program.  This blue OPI Indignantly Indigo is so pretty!  It’s one of those bright/dark blues, which makes absolutely no sense haha  I didn’t want to take away from how blue it is so I paired it with OPI Lapis which is from the OPI Designer Series.  Shall we check out my mani?

Beetlejuice inspired mani – Gridlock Lacquer Yinz Goin Dahnthan?

Press Sample

Hey Everyone!

How about some Beetlejuice inspired nail art?  I was inspired by a mani by Anny Polish and Paint did about a month ago.  I must say, this is loosely inspired by Beetlejuice lol The only resemblance is the black and white stripes that I did using striping nail stencils.  On Instagram I labeled this as Beetlejuice joins the circus.  Onto pics!

OPI Infinite Shine Set in Stone and Maintaining my Sand-ity Gel Effects Lacquer System Review

Hey Everyone!

Today I will be reviewing my first OPI Infinite Shine Gel Effects Lacquer System!  I was sent for review, a box of the Infinite Shine colors and the base and top coat from Preen.me as part of their VIP program.  This will really be my first time trying one these new pseudo-gel lacquer type systems.  Shall we just get past all the formalities and onto the polish?!  Let’s go!

To use these polishes you will need to buy into the 1-2-3 Gel Effects Lacquer System with the primer base and gloss top coat (that cures in natural light).  The primer base applied fine and dried pretty quick!  Always nice.  For my base color I chose Set in Stone.  A dark taupe that has hints of purple to it, it reminds me a lot of OPI I Sao Paulo Over There.  I held them next to each other and Set in Stone may be just a little darker but very close.  This was a very pigmented polish, almost covered completely in 1 coat.  It wasn’t thin or thick, just kind of that perfect consistency that makes it very easy to coat the nail and not flood the cuticles.  I would say the formula is slightly thicker than regular OPI polish and it has a stronger smell.  Nothing I couldn’t handle just wanted to note it.  I used 2 coats here, it dried pretty shiny and pretty fast!  Defintely faster than regular OPI polish.  I left my base to dry without top coat so that I could add some stamping.

OPI 50 Is The New Fabulous Sally 50 Year Anniversary Exclusive Shade!

Hey Everyone!

A few weeks back I went to Sally's Beauty Supply because they were having an extra 50% off clearance sale!  I snagged a ton of polishes, one being OPI 50 Is The New Fabulous which is a pink creme exclusive to Sally's celebrating their 50th anniversary.  Wow, I had no idea Sally's has been around that long, pretty cool.  Check out what I came up with.

50 Is The New Fabulous is a lovely medium neutral pink.  Well, I think it's neutral?  I couldn't really tell if it was warm or cool so that makes me feel like it's neutral haha.  With OPI pinks and reds I typically have to do 3 coats to cover my visible nail line and this one was no exception.  Most people only have to do 2 but something about OPI pink and red cremes I ALWAYS need 3 coats, crazy right?  But it had a very nice formula and applied easily so I didn't mind!

OPI Hawaii This Color's Making Waves swatch review

Hey Everyone!

The first color that caught my eye from the OPI Hawaii Collection at ULTA was This Color's Making Waves, in the bottle it,s a shimmery deep blue green with very fine orange/gold shimmer.  I figured it wouldn't really look like that on the nail, but to my surprise it looks like that..... but BETTER!  Holy crap people, this polish is amazing.  Check it out!

T-Rex Nail Vinyls - China Glaze New Birth and OPI Wharf Wharf Wharf

Hey People!

Ready for a super scary T-Rex mani?!  Yea, me neither so how about this adorable one using T-Rex nail vinyls from Vinyl It Up?  lol  How friggin cute are these vinyls?  I bought them just to use with OPI Wharf Wharf Wharf, I thought they would go really well together.  Check out what I came up with.

Isn't China Glaze New Birth the palest blue creme you've ever seen?  Sometimes it looks white, I just love it.  It's a little thin so I used 3 coats but I'm not complained.  See another mani using New Birth HERE.

Color Club East Austin Bright Coral and Gold mani!

Hello!

Winter is really kicking my butt, it just won’t go away.  I know I sound like a broken record but I have another bright mani for my Winter blues lol Color Club East Austin is like Boom, Pow I’m bright in yo face!  Haha Check it out.
Color Club East Austin Neon Peach Gold skull mani

Color Club East Austin Neon Peach Gold skull mani

You may not have believed me when I said Color Club East Austin was bright lol  I have read it is a close dupe to China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy but I don’t have that one so I can’t say.  It’s a bright glowing coral peach.  Is it neon?  I think it’s one lightbulb away from being a neon haha!  To me, neon has that vibrating feel to it this glows but does not “vibrate” my eyeballs, does that even make sense?  I used 3 coats here because it can be a bit sheer if you use thinner coats.

Secret Garden Plate BM-705 - OPI Steady As She Rose and Loreal Masked Affair

Hey Everyone!

Today I have a 2nd mani using the Secret Garden stamping plates that Bundle Monster sent to me for review (see my full review HERE).  Plate BM-705 has all garden themed words and is probably the plate that jumped out at me first that I wanted to use, I love all the fonts they used!  It screamed for purple so I grabbed one of my all time fav grayed lavender polishes, OPI Steady as She Rose.  Check it out!

Born Pretty Store Review - Virgin Mary decals with OPI LAMB

Hi Guys!

Today I have the last of the 3 products I was sent for review from Born Pretty Store,
Virgin Mary water slide decals item #17030. When Born Pretty contacted me to select some products this was the first one I picked! I thought they were so different and cool and I have nothing like them. Check out what I came up with.

I’m calling this look Renaissance Scrapbook lol For the base I used OPI LAMB and then outlined each nail with Julep Fiore.

Here are the
decalsbefore I chopped them up lol I like that some of the images have 2 sizes so you can select the perfect fit for your nail size.

The
Virgin Mary water slide decals item #17030applied just like any other water slide decal, submerge in water for 20 seconds and then they slide off the paper backing and you can position onto the nail. Some of the bigger images you need to position carefully and work out the air bubbles so that they lay flat, but same goes for any water decals.

On the ring finger I added some jewels into the shape of the cross.

These decals are weird enough to not be everyone’s cup-o-tea but I love them! I have a thing for old paintings so they’re right up my alley. You can buy the Virgin Mary decals
HERE, I recommend them! Would you wear these decals?

(Some of these products were provided to me for review)

OPI - My Vampire is Buff and LAMB chevron decals Vinyl It Up mani

Hey my Friends!

It probably seems like I post a lot of bright manis but when it comes down to it, I love neutrals. Nothing makes me happier than a creamy neutral, le sigh. So for today I'm using one of my all time fav neutrals and golds. Shall we proceed?

OPI My Vampire is Buff. Look at it! I've worn this color countless times but each time I fall more in love with it. It's like the color of fresh almonds. This is 2 coats.

What about the tree nail charm? Too cute, it's from ebay.

The gold is OPI LAMB, it's like an ultra fine dense glitter. It does dry to a satin finish which looks great but I chose to add top coat here.

The nail vinyls I used are from Vinyl It Up, mini chevrons, my fave size! So perfect for my small nail beds, I get maximum zigs and zags lol

This could be one of my fave manis in a long time, thanks for reading!

OPI Wharf Wharf Wharf and Julep Brandt and Dana

Hi Everyone!

I've wanted OPI Wharf Wharf Wharf since it was released but it was just one of those colors that you look at but never buy. Well, I FINALLY bought it and it is everything I thought it would be! I'm still loving texture polishes and even though they may be "over" I will still be busting em out. Check out what I came up with for this crazy blue.

Isn't it cool? It's just so blue lol I used 2 thin coats, I think textures show up best when you use thinner coats. I was obsessively touching my nails while wearing it haha.

For the base of my ring I used Julep Dana. It's a pearly white with blue shimmer.

The stamping was done with MoYou London Artist Collection Plate 04. I used Julep Brandt, an off-black.

This mani felt very "artsy" or something lol I'm so cool. Thanks for stopping by!
