Sharpie Spring Watercolor Nails YouTube Tutorial!

Press Sample, Affiliate Link

Hi Everyone!

Ok.  I'm just gonna say it.  I'm totally addicted to Sharpie manis lol If it were up to me, I'd do a Sharpie mani every ding dong DAY lol!  But I've been stopping myself because seriously, I need to switch it up.  I was feeling like I was in a Spring mood, so I went with some Spring colors and I was so happy with how this came out.  Check out my full length tutorial on YouTube!

Sharpie Spring Watercolor Nails China Glaze In A Lily Bit Twinkled T Vinyls

Sharpie Spring Watercolor Nails China Glaze In A Lily Bit Twinkled T Vinyls

This is one of my fav manis that I've ever done!  I'm such a purple fan so combined with the sharpies and vinyls... head = blown haha!

Here is what I used:

- China Glaze White on White - http://www.bit.ly/1QWphx7 ^
- China Glaze In A Lily Bit - http://www.bit.ly/1oT342p ^
- China Glaze Fairy Dust - http://www.bit.ly/1p2Ht6r ^
- Sharpies - http://www.bit.ly/1QWq18i ^
- 91% Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol - Any drugstore
- Wax Paper - Any grocery store
- Twinkled T Brush from the Cotton Dandy Nail Art Set - http://www.bit.ly/1RFxBJH ^ *
- Twinkled T #2 Clean-up Brush - http://www.bit.ly/1RFxBJH ^ *
- Twinkled T Square Cyclone Vinyls - http://www.bit.ly/1RFxBJH ^ *
- Square 2mm Nail Jewels - eBay
- HK Girl Top Coat - http://glistenandglow.bigcartel.com/product/hk-girl-fast-drying-super-shiny-top-coat

And totally random, but this mani was completed when my nails were at my fav length.  They only stay my "perfect" length for a couple of days and I'm too lazy to file them a couple times per week haha  I think my nails grow fast but no that fast.  It's so weird how such a minuscule amount of growth can make such a big difference in nail appearance.  Or maybe I'm just crazy, totally possible!

Thank you for checking out my mani!

MidWest Lacquer Cincy Sunset Thermal Color Changing Polish and Blobbicure Nail Art Tutorial

Press Sample

Hi My Polish Friends!

Hope you are all doing well and if not well let's just look at polish until we feel better, deal?  Today I'm going to be sharing the first of 3 thermal color changing polishes sent to me for review from MidWest Lacquer aka Vinyl It Up.  Lizzie, the owner of Vinyl It Up, let me know a few months ago that she was working on expanding her line of vinyls to include polish!  I waited patiently for her research and development stage to be over lol  And then I got these babies, yaaaayyyy!  Today we are looking at 'Cincy Sunset' shall we?

And here is 'Cincy Sunset!'  A beautiful coral with pink flakies and gold shimmer that transitions to a warm yellow/peach.  These being my first thermal polishes (I know right?  Crazy, how is this even possible with all the polish I own?), I didn't really know what to expect but this baby blew me away!  Now I know why peeps seem to go so crazy for these, there's just something about them that just takes me back to my childhood when magic color changing toys were in your life.  As adults I don't have anything that changes colors :(  Well this problem is solved haha

Cinco de Mayo mani featuring Wet N Wild Sun Settle Down and Bundle Monster BMH-24

Feliz Cinco de Mayo!

Margaritas for everyone! How else am I supposed to celebrate? Lol I’m in the middle of swatching the Wet N Wild California Dreaming collection and one of the colors ‘Sun Settle Down’ seemed like the perfect base for some Cinco de Mayo themed nails! I also attempted another mini Instagram tutorial for this mani and I kind of just messed up the whole thing haha I didn’t realize my camera would be in the way of stamping, whoops. Shortly after I purchased a new tripod so that I have more room, it’s never ending what I feel like I NEED in order to complete my manis lol Ok, onto my mani!

Wet N Wild Sun Settle Down Bundle Monster plate BMH-24 Cinco de Mayo
You can see how I mis-stamped the nail with what is supposed to say Cinco de Mayo but instead it says “inco de nayo” hahaha! I half-ass painted on a C but didn’t have any room to fix the M so nayo it is!

Sharpie Watercolor Nails Tutorial featuring Floss Gloss Lean

These polishes were purchased by me.

What's up People?

I've always loved markers, like really really loved markers.  Back about a billion years ago when I was in college, I did a ton of marker rendering and had quite the collection.  Those days are long gone but I still get excited to use markers so combing then with nail polish is probably the greatest thing ever.  And let's talk about Floss Gloss Lean, such a pretty orchid purple!

OPI Infinite Shine Indignantly Indigo and DS Lapis review

Press Sample

Hey Everyone!

Today I am sharing another mani using the OPI Infinite Shine polishes that I received from the Preen.Me VIP Program.  This blue OPI Indignantly Indigo is so pretty!  It’s one of those bright/dark blues, which makes absolutely no sense haha  I didn’t want to take away from how blue it is so I paired it with OPI Lapis which is from the OPI Designer Series.  Shall we check out my mani?

China Glaze - Givers Theme and Friends Forever, Right? Leopard mani

Hey Everyone!

Last night when it came time to do my Monday mani, I was feeling a little uninspired, so I went with my go-to look.  It consists of using a couple of cremes, a leopard accent nail, a glitter accent nail, and then throwing on a couple of jewels or studs.  Boom, donezo.  This time I was to use a couple of the China Glaze The Giver colors.

OPI Hawaii This Color's Making Waves swatch review

Hey Everyone!

The first color that caught my eye from the OPI Hawaii Collection at ULTA was This Color's Making Waves, in the bottle it,s a shimmery deep blue green with very fine orange/gold shimmer.  I figured it wouldn't really look like that on the nail, but to my surprise it looks like that..... but BETTER!  Holy crap people, this polish is amazing.  Check it out!

T-Rex Nail Vinyls - China Glaze New Birth and OPI Wharf Wharf Wharf

Hey People!

Ready for a super scary T-Rex mani?!  Yea, me neither so how about this adorable one using T-Rex nail vinyls from Vinyl It Up?  lol  How friggin cute are these vinyls?  I bought them just to use with OPI Wharf Wharf Wharf, I thought they would go really well together.  Check out what I came up with.

Isn't China Glaze New Birth the palest blue creme you've ever seen?  Sometimes it looks white, I just love it.  It's a little thin so I used 3 coats but I'm not complained.  See another mani using New Birth HERE.

Color Club East Austin Bright Coral and Gold mani!

Hello!

Winter is really kicking my butt, it just won’t go away.  I know I sound like a broken record but I have another bright mani for my Winter blues lol Color Club East Austin is like Boom, Pow I’m bright in yo face!  Haha Check it out.
Color Club East Austin Neon Peach Gold skull mani

Color Club East Austin Neon Peach Gold skull mani

You may not have believed me when I said Color Club East Austin was bright lol  I have read it is a close dupe to China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy but I don’t have that one so I can’t say.  It’s a bright glowing coral peach.  Is it neon?  I think it’s one lightbulb away from being a neon haha!  To me, neon has that vibrating feel to it this glows but does not “vibrate” my eyeballs, does that even make sense?  I used 3 coats here because it can be a bit sheer if you use thinner coats.

Secret Garden Plate BM-705 - OPI Steady As She Rose and Loreal Masked Affair

Hey Everyone!

Today I have a 2nd mani using the Secret Garden stamping plates that Bundle Monster sent to me for review (see my full review HERE).  Plate BM-705 has all garden themed words and is probably the plate that jumped out at me first that I wanted to use, I love all the fonts they used!  It screamed for purple so I grabbed one of my all time fav grayed lavender polishes, OPI Steady as She Rose.  Check it out!

Born Pretty Store Review - Virgin Mary decals with OPI LAMB

Hi Guys!

Today I have the last of the 3 products I was sent for review from Born Pretty Store,
Virgin Mary water slide decals item #17030. When Born Pretty contacted me to select some products this was the first one I picked! I thought they were so different and cool and I have nothing like them. Check out what I came up with.

I’m calling this look Renaissance Scrapbook lol For the base I used OPI LAMB and then outlined each nail with Julep Fiore.

Here are the
decalsbefore I chopped them up lol I like that some of the images have 2 sizes so you can select the perfect fit for your nail size.

The
Virgin Mary water slide decals item #17030applied just like any other water slide decal, submerge in water for 20 seconds and then they slide off the paper backing and you can position onto the nail. Some of the bigger images you need to position carefully and work out the air bubbles so that they lay flat, but same goes for any water decals.

On the ring finger I added some jewels into the shape of the cross.

These decals are weird enough to not be everyone’s cup-o-tea but I love them! I have a thing for old paintings so they’re right up my alley. You can buy the Virgin Mary decals
HERE, I recommend them! Would you wear these decals?

(Some of these products were provided to me for review)

Born Pretty Store Review Rose Nail Charms with Loreal Masked Affair

Hi Everyone!

After seeing all the hub-bub about Loreal Masked Affair and it being sold out everywhere, I was like well, I’m not getting it lol I thought it was pretty but I have similar colors. Then on Friday I walked into Rite-aid to get some shampoo and walked down an aisle and there was the display with 1 Masked Affair! So, I guess it was fate and I grabbed it just to have haha! I thought it was perfect to use for my review of some
rose nail charmsthat Born Pretty Store sent to me. Check out what I came up with.

The
Silver Rose Charms item #16684are so cute! They’re a good size for medium to small size nails since they aren’t huge like a lot of other charms I have. They also don’t have a very high profile so they are less likely to snag in your hair or on your clothing. They attached very easily just with topcoat.

So what do you think of Loreal Masked Affair? In the bottle it has an interesting bluish glow to it which does translate onto the nail a little. In person it does have a nice holo effect, not the strongest I’ve seen but for a mainstream brand I think it is excellent! I tend to prefer a subtler holo so I do like this one. I also recently bought Orly Mirrorball, that I used
HEREand I do prefer Mirrorball because it is slightly darker. But I will definitely get a lot of use out of Masked Affair.

The uber pale pink (yes it is pink and not white lol) is China Glaze Friends Forever, Right? I added some thinner to mine and with 3 thin coats it was opaque. I love colors like this so I don’t mind that I have to use 3 coats.

Along with the
Silver Rose Charms item #16684I added some AB jewel studs that I got from ebay.

I’m really digging the silver Rose Nail Charms and I need to see if they have them in gold! They’re the perfect size and I will get a lot of use from them. Have you picked up Loreal Masked Affair? Do you plan on it?

(Some of these products were sent to me for review)

China Glaze - Bottoms Up, White on White, Fairy Dust with Born Pretty Store feather decals

Hey Everyone!

I needed a bright mani since its sooooooo cold out, it's depressing. I was seeing a lot of China Glaze Bottoms Up so naturally I took that as a sign that I had to purchase it lol Here's what I came up with.

How pretty is China Glaze Bottoms Up?! It's a little brighter in person. I used 3 coats.

How do you make pink better? You Fairy Dust that shit! Lol This is China Glaze Fairy Dust layered over CG White on White.

The feathers are water decals from Born Pretty Store.

This mani wasn't planned I just starting polishing and of course I like it better than manis I spend forever planning haha! Thanks for checking out my work!

Love Angeline - The Clock Strikes Midnight

Hey People!

Did you ever feel like you just need to wear a dark polish? Lol I feel like that all the time so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to bust out one of my untrieds from Love Angeline.

Look at this beautiful polish! This is The Clocks Strikes Midnight from Love Angeline. It's a black holo that has some pink shimmer to it and at certain angles it flashes a purpley taupe. Just perfect.

Since I loved how this polish looked by itself I didn't want to busy it up with a lot of nail art so I just added a few jewels.

This polish will be perfect for accent nails paired with cremes! Thanks for stopping by!

Julep Just for Yule trio - Emer Myrtle Brigitte chevron nail vinyls

Merry Christmas Everybody!!

Today I was inspired by the movie Elf.....ok that's not true lol After I did this mani it kind of reminded me of that movie in a weird way lol Here is what I came up with!

How gorgeous is this green Emer from Julep?! I like green polishes but I never go Gaga over them but this one grabbed ahold of my heart. Perfect formula, and the color is just so rich it was almost a one coater. This was exclusive to the Julep trio Just for Yule. The rest of the polishes I used also come from this set.

This pretty red creme is Julep Myrtle, another one with a great formula!

The white base is Julep Brigitte. For the chevrons, I used mini chevron nail vinyls from Vinyl It Up. The jewels are from ebay.

This is my fav holiday mani for the year! Thanks for stopping by!

OPI Over and Over A-Gwen China Glaze Fairy Dust and White on White Santa Christmas mani

Heyyyyyyy!

We're getting super close to Christmas, and what kind of person would I be if I didn't do a Santa mani? A terrible person is the answer. So, here's my Santa mani!

For the base I used OPI Over and Over A-Gwen, a classic red creme. Perfect for Christmas manis!

On the ring and pinky I added 1 coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust, because why not?!

This Santa charm kills me! He's just so cute! It's a little large for my small nails but I like how the hat hangs off the top of the nail.

The white is China Glaze White on White, I'm pretty terrible with freehand lines so I was pumped I was able to draw some straight lines to make boss lol I added a couple of little jewels to the center of the bows.

Thanks for stopping by!
