Do you have a go-to polish color? Because mine seems to be pink lately, like really bright POW in yo face pankkkk! Being Valentine's Day week I wanted to do (yet another) themed mani, but I think this one isn't all lovey dovey like. I knew China Glaze Bottoms Up was going to be the star, so here she is!

Now that's a pink! This bright pink creme is Bottoms Up from China Glaze, such a glorious color. Since it's so bright almost neon, it dries a little matte. When I wore it on it's own, see it HERE, I used 3 coats since it is a touch patchy but nothing crazy. I also used Friends Forever, Right a very light pink creme as a gradient transition color.
The white creme is White on White from China Glaze. I put down 2 coats before sponging on the pink gradient. White on White is just your basic white polish but it has a nice formula and I've been getting a lot of use out of it.
Once I was done with the gradient, which was a paint in the ass by the way! I added one coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust over a few fingers. Fairy Dust has a magical way of making every mani better lol (See another mani using Fairy Dust HERE) I finished off the look with some 2mm nail jewels from ebay.
I'm really happy with how this turned out! Even though I didn't use anything to mask off my skin and the polish got all over and clean-up was a real bitch! Ugggghhhh I need to get some liquid tape or something because I just can't take it anymore. Do you use liquid tape or latex to mask off when you know you're going to make a mess?

This is a very well-executed gradient! I am envious, because I can never get my gradients to look very good. Also, the rhinestones really add something extra - so girly!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Well, if it makes you feel any better they looked a little rough in person haha thank goodness for top coat it definitely blurred it a bit!
