Polish My Life Eye Sea, Commando, and Different Dimension Big Bang

Happy Hump Day!

Every time I see the Geico commercial with the camels at the zoo and the people yelling "Hummmpppp Dayyyyy!" at them, I can't help but crack up. Because you know it's true lol So for hump day, I decided to recreate a mani from @thenailboss on Instagram that I fell in love with a while back. Check out what I did!





This blue is so pretty! This is Eye Sea from Polish My Life, very nice formula.



Big Bang from Different Dimension is my fave polish from 2014! It's an all glitter polish opaque in 2 coats, love it.



For the sheer pink base I used Bliss Kiss Simply Smooth base coat and applied straight nail vinyls from Vinyl It Up to tape off the tips. The black is Commando from Polish My Life. I love how the bright colors look against the sheer pink!

Julep Jameson and Gianna Fall mani

Hey Everyone!

I went wine tasting in Keuka, NY and of course I wanted to do something Fall-ish and wine like. I went with the obvious choice of a burgundy type color.

Here is my mani!





I chose Julep Jameson, a burgundy crème with some brown to it. The color is pretty but like these colors can be it was a little runny and wanted to run off of the high parts of the nail and pool in the creases. I did 2 coats and you do have to look hard for the imperfections but I think there are better choices if you want this color. I have OPI Skyfall and that is way nicer formula wise.



For my accent nails, I layered Julep Gianna a jagged gold topper over Jameson. I’m not a huge fan of the jagged glitters but I do like this one, I think it looks good with Jameson. This is one coat and it applies nicely for being such a chunky glitter.



I added 2mm gold square studs, I got them from ebay.





Even though Jameson’s formula was lacking, I still liked this mani! It was perfect for wine and beer tasting. Thanks for stopping by!

The Originals CW Klaus nail art - OPI Do You Have this Color in Stock-holm and My Voice is a Little Norse

Hey my Little Vampires ;P

(note: I did this mani 2 weeks ago so my nails are longer here)

Guess what today is?! It's Monday and that means there is a new Epi of of The Originals on tonight! It’s a spin-off series of The Vampire Diaries. I’m so excited I made some Originals inspired nail art lol shocked aren’t ya?

The main character Klaus Mikaelson is an “original” vampire aka one of the very first and he is also the first werewolf! He’s a crazy hybrid who does terrible awful things to everyone but then in the next episode they make you love him again. I’m sure it’s because he’s so cute lol. The Originals is set in New Orleans and since Klaus is always trying to be in charge of everyone and everything I went with a King theme. I used a purple to represent New Orleans.

The purple is OPI Do You Have this in Stock-holm from the Nordic collection. It’s a super saturated ultraviolet, I love it! This is 2 coats and it was perfectly opaque.



For the base on the middle I used Sinful Colors Black on Black, it’s my go-to black crème. This is 2 coats. I layered OPI My Voice is a Little Norse, also from the Nordic collection. It’s a gunmetal silver and holo sparkle topper.



On the ring I added a little silver and jewel crown I got from ebay. I think they were 10 for $1.30 shipped, can’t go wrong at that price lol



Here is Glisten & Glow HK Girl topcoat. It’s my fav topcoat.



I know the Originals theme is kinda subtle with this mani lol but I’m so happy with how this came out!

Gridlock Lacquer -Nails and Ales from The Beer and Wine Collection

Hey Everyone!

I have another Gridlock Lacquer polish from the Beer & Wine collection, Nails & Ales. Great name right? 2 of the best things ever lol

This one is pretty cool, it’s a light caramel with a touch of pink and it has a light aqua shimmer to it. I think it came across in the photos. The shimmer shows in the sun but comes and goes as you tilt your fingers, really different. I have nothing like it in my collection.

Onto swatches!



Nails & Ales is a great neutral, it would be perfect for the office. This is 3 coats, nice application.



You can see the aqua shimmer best in this photo. It’s not super obvious, it doesn’t scream hey I’m aqua shimmer! But it’s there, I think it is really pretty.



For the accent I used a base of another GL polish, All Day Chardonnay (review coming soon). I used a bundle monster holiday stamp for the mug and painted in the details. My BF said the mug looks like root beer lol





I can see myself pairing Nails & Ales with a brown cream, I think they would play well together. Thanks for checking out my review!
