Hey My Polish Friends!
Today I will be reviewing a product sent to me from Born Pretty Store, 2x4mm
Rhombus Glitter Item #16757. I chose
the light blue color to review but it’s listed as 804. I’ve never used loose nail art glitter before
so I was excited and nervous lol I
decided to pair it with 2 colors from the China
Glaze Road
Trip Collection, Wanderlust
and Dashboard
Dreamer. If you follow me on Instagram
you probably think I’m sounding like a broken record because I won’t shut-up
about the collection! I can’t help it,
all the colors are just so “me.” Onto
the mani!
The glitter
comes in a mini clear jar, as you can see this is like a lifetime supply lol
They are super shiny and reflective, I stared at this little jar for entirely
too long…… must…… have……. Shiny things!

I’ve read that loose glitter can be tricky to handle, so my
technique was to dump some out onto a piece of paper and spread it out. Once my mani was all done, I added top
coat. I used a top coat that wasn’t
crazy fast drying so that I would have enough time to place the glitter. I used one of my dotting tools to pick up
each piece of glitter, I wet one of the cosmetic sponges I had laying around
and dabbed the dotting tool to get it a little wet and that made the glitter
stick to the tool. Then I placed it onto
the wet top coat. Was it really that
easy? Yea actually it was! Now, my designs are pretty simple so that
could explain why it was so easy lol I imagine covering the entire nail would
be a little more difficult. Once my top
coat was dry, I added another layer to seal them in. I was thinking the glitter might stick up a bit
but they actually lay pretty flat even on my strong C-curve shaped nails! And the second layer of top coat almost made
them completely smooth, I’ve been wearing them since last night and they haven’t
caught or snagged on anything.
For the base I used China
Glaze Wanderlust, a soft pink that leans just ever so slightly lavender
with the most gorgeous pink/orange shimmer!
This color is so soft and feminine and absolutely perfect for
Spring. First coat was sheer but the
second coat went completely opaque. It
can be just a little brush stroke but nothing like using a metallic polish, I was
able to smooth the streaks out just by going over an area a couple times.
On the accent nail I used China
Glaze Dashboard Dreamer, a soft warm baby blue with the same shimmer as
Wanderlust. I love Dashboard Dreamer
more than Wanderlust! OMG it has the
ethereal quality to it, so pretty and I own nothing else like it. Again, first coat was sheer but second coat
and it was opaque. Just a gorgeous
must-have color IMO.
And for funsies, here’s a macro of the 2x4mm
