Hey Everyone!
Today I’m going to share with you the Gridlock Lacquer Spring /
Easter 2015 Collection! I was super
excited when I got these in the mail for review because a bunch of the polishes
were inspired by Polish traditions……… yea not polish as in nail color but
Poland! Lol My family is Polish so these
were right up my alley. Shall we get
started?
From Top Left to Right: Smingus Dingus, Butter Lamb, Polish polish
From Bottom Left to Right: 999 Broadway, Broadway-Fillmore, Pierogi Kielbasa Kraut
There’s a little something for everybody in this collection,
glitter, pearl, crelly, and shimmer! On to
swatches.

Polish polish (as in Poland polish) is a glitter topper with
a clear base and full of black, white, red, and gunmetal glitters in all different
shapes and sizes! Normally I find
glitter toppers with larger glitters tend not to lay flat on my strong C-shape
nails but not this one, I used 1.5 coats (I dabbed on a little after the first
coat) and they laid nice and flat! I
liked this one way more than I thought I would and it also reminds me of the
twilight colors so yea, there’s that lol (I love twilight and I’m a loser and
do not care).
Next up is Smingus Dingus named for the Polish holiday;
Dyngus Day! This red jelly base is full
of red and I think pink? glitters, hard to tell what color glitters are
sometimes lol This covered so nice in 2 coats and was nice and bright, a really
pretty color.
One of my favs in the collection! This is Broadway-Fillmore, an orange-red
crelly. I love colors like this! I think they look good on most everyone. Since it’s a crelly finish I used 3 coats
since I prefer full opacity but I think most people would be happy with 2. The accent nail was inspired by the
embroidery on Polish folk dancing dresses.
Next is Pierogi, Kielbasa, Kraut and I don’t think I have to
explain the name lol PKK is a gorgeous shimmering nude, it has pink flakies and
shimmer! My camera didn’t pick it up too
well, but you can see it best in the macro shot. This would make a great office polish color
since it’s neutral but not boring. The
accent nail was inspired by Polish hand painted Easter eggs.
This pretty Spring-y yellow is Butter Lamb! Doesn’t it have a soft look to it? Many say how hard yellow is to wear with
their skin-tone but I thought this one was super flattering! My accent nail needs no explanation.
The final polish and my fav from the collection is 999
Broadway, a shimmering seafoam. Isn’t it
beautiful?! The gold shimmer just makes
the color glow, oh how it made my eyeballs happy! I thought it might be a little sheer but it
covered perfectly in 2 coats.
Overall I think this is such a fun collection! It has some more typical colors associated
with Spring and then some fun ones to mix it up a bit. Gridlock Lacquer is available online HERE, this collection will
be available locally in Buffalo, NY starting this Saturday 3/21/15 at the
Broadway Market. Make sure to follow

999 Broadway is also my fave. It's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ana! I'm so in love with this polish!
DeleteI have 999 Broadway on, right now and it looks nothing like yours! In the bottle it does but I have three coats on and it's more of a pale green-gold than that beautiful shimmering seafoam!
ReplyDeleteHhhmmmm maybe yours is a different batch? For these pics I used my OTT lite maybe that made a difference? I'm not sure!
DeleteI recommend reading it to the end.
