Julep Margarita Reiko and Clio

Hello!

I’ve been doing a lot of bright looks even thoughhhhhh it is most definitely Fall in my neck of the woods. So, I decided to be normal and wear a more season appropriate look.

Check out what I did.





This dark purple crème is Julep Margarita. This is the newer oxygen formula so it’s kind of meh. It did cover in 2 coats, but it manages to be thick but runny and flood the cuticles at the same time! Amazing right? I’d be impressed if polish on your cuticles wasn’t a pain in the ass lol The color is very pretty though, so whatevs.





For my accent nail I used a base of Julep Reiko, a gorgeous rose gold metallic. Now this formula is great! I then topped it with 2 coats of Julep Clio, lavender, silver, and periwinkle glitters. Clio is an awesome glitter, so pretty. I then added a bow charm I got from ebay.



Pretty happy with how this came out, one of the more simpler combos I’ve worn lately haha. Thanks for checking out my blog!

Movember mani - Julep Robin Dana and Brandt - moustache nail vinyls

Hey Everyone!

It’s Movember aka grow a moustache to show your support for men’s health month. I am neither a dude nor can I grow a beard so I decided a manly mani was the best I could do!



For my base I chose Julep Robin, a beautiful Robin’s egg blue crème that leans a little green. Formula is superb on this one, this is 2 coats. This was Julep’s old formula which explains why it is so fab *glares at new “oxygen” formula!*



For the ring accent I used 3 coats of Julep Dana, a white with ultrafine blue shimmer. This is the new formula which explains why it’s not so fab. It’s thick but not the worst, it’s very pretty so I’ll put up with it. I topped it with a stag decal in aqua from
Vinyl It Up, isn’t it the cutest? I mean, isn’t it the manliest?



For the middle accent, I used 2 coats of Julep Brandt, an off-black crème. Again old formula = fab. I’m halfway through this bottle so I will have to stalk ebay or storenvy for another bottle. Then I used striping tape to get the fruit stripe gum effect. I would so love some black and blue fruit strip gum!





Here is my Cinderella Hand! Or my dominant hand, it’s called Cinderella because it does all the work. I used another Stag decal and then the most manliest (adorable) moustache and top hat decal! These are also from
Vinyl It Up.

Polish My Life - Peaches Anyone with a glitter gradient

Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy Friday! Yes that's how I'm greeting you today, by screaming at you.

I filed my nails yesterday because they were getting soooo long, well long for me. When my nails get a little longer I find myself playing with them which is never good because that will lead to breaks. Hell hath no fury like a nail swatcher that breaks a nail right before they have a swatch job coming up! I’m getting anxiety lol Whenever I file them shorter I always want to wear a bright neutral, short nails + bright creme = happiness. I had the perfect polish waiting in the wings, check it out.





This is Peaches Anyone? from Polish My Life. It’s perfect, I think it’s flattering with my skin tone but this color would flatter every skin tone. Nice formula, I am starting to love this indie brand and I want ALL the colors! This could be trouble, but the good kind of trouble.



The glitter is OPI In True Stefani Fashion, one of my favs. It’s full of small silver and holo glitter, and square holo glitter pieces. It worked perfectly for using as a glitter gradient. Some glitters are too goopy for this and you end up building it up too thick to get a nice gradient. There’s only one thing in this world that can never be too thick………………..bacon. Get your mind out of the gutter girl! :P Just kidding, I permanently reside in the gutter, welcome!





I added a couple rainbow 2 mm jewels, I got them from ebay (pretty much any jewel or stud I use is from ebay lol)



I can’t stop staring at my mani. I love a good peach polish, it looks so fresh and so clean clean! I recommend checking out Polish My Life, such gorgeous colors, thanks for stopping by :)

Julep Wizard of Oz polish set - Emerald City and Tin Man

There’s no place like home…. There’s no place like home…. There’s no place like home….

Did it work?! I guess not, I’m still at work. Le sigh.

I wanted to try the 3rd polish from the Julep Wizard of Oz set, Emerald City. A gorgeous green crème with a hint of blue. I was disappointed with the pink polish in this set Glinda The Good Witch, so I didn’t get my hopes up, BUT Emerald City ended up being amazing. Check out my mani!





Isn’t Emerald City pretty?! I love these types of greens, the hint of blue really sets it off beautifully. The formula was pretty good, this is 2 coats.



For my accent nail I used Tin Man, also from the set. It’s a silver holo, it’s not a super strong holo but it does have some rainbow goodness to it. I actually like the more subtle holo! Formula is great, this is 2 coats. I used nail striping tape to mask off the lines and then added 1 coat of Emerald City before removing the tape.



I added a star charm, not sure why but somehow it just fit. On the pinky I added 1 coat of a H&M teal glitter polish, it’s labeled as “Green Bluish.”



The last polish I have to try in the set is Ruby Slippers, a red glitter obviously lol I’m hoping to use it soon. Thanks for stopping by!

Colors by Llarowe - Rockin My Juju

Hi!

Cremes are my fav polish finish, but sometimes you need a little holo in your life right? Or some of you may say I NEED ALL THE HOLOS!!! Haha But me, I just need a little.

I bought my very first Colors by Llarowe polish and I am going to let you see it, ready?





Here she is! This is Rockin my JuJu from Colors by Llarow. Pretty. Holo. Rainbows. It’s kind of a steely blue? Before I bought it I looked up swatches and a lot of the swatches are kind of teal? I dunno, it doesn’t look teal for me. It shifts to a pink/purple.





For my accent nail I chose a little blingy charm that I got from ebay (I mean come on, where else do I buy literally everything for?).



Then the next day we had sun, whoah yea I was shocked too. In the sun you can see the shift much better. And look at my little starlight bursts I caught! Cool.

Lucky Lacquer - Sweet Pea - chevron mani

Hey Everyone!

Are you currently in a candy coma? I am. I ate wayyyyyyy too many kit-kat bars, why are they so delicious? Damn you kit-kats! Just kidding, I love you lots xoxo

So it was kind of snowing here, not the kind that sticks just the kind that lets you know – hey, I’m snow and I’m back and I’m going to make your life a living hell for the next oh I don’t know like 17 months. That’s what it feels like. Winter is coming y’all, it’s coming. I decided to rebel with an “It’s still Summer in my head” mani.

This gorgeousness is Lucky Lacquer Sweet Pea. A very bright pink creme that leans a little coral. It’s fab right?! I used 3 coats here, normally I could get away with 2 but my nails are a little long and my nail line is darker than your average bear so at this length I need an extra coat. Formula is super great. 2 polished thumbs up!

For my accent nails I used a base of Julep Sienna. Sienna is probably my top gold polish of all time, ironically it came in my very first Maven box. If you apply it a little thicker and carefully you really could get away with one coat. Super great formula. Then I applied my mini chevron nail vinyls from Vinyl It Up. The minis are my fav size chevron. Then I applied another coat of Sweet Pea and removed the vinyls for these adorable chevrons! It’s chevron cuteness overload up in dis bitch. I added gold 2mm studs that I got from ebay.

This color combo is just insane, pink with gold = amazing. Thanks for stopping by!
